Hi Beryl,
Was so much fun to do your class here in Perth, I learnt so much and have not stopped playing since Tuesday!!
You were truly a wonderful teacher and a kind and generous person, thank you so much!
Love Jo
Hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip, it was truly wonderful to meet you, I throughly enjoyed the classes and love my book to bits. Your work is such an inspiration, I just know you will be a big influence on my work from now on. Did you enjoy the snakes?
It was wonderful to meet you Beryl and I had a fabulous time in the three workshops I attended last week. So much inspiration – thank goodness I have another week of holidays to follow through. Thanks for being such a sharing friendly person! All the best,
Hi Beryl, hope the rest of your stay in Australia has been wonderful, I just know being on the water around Sydneys waterfront bays will be special hope the weather is kinder than it was in Perth on Friday. Really enjoyed the class and learnt so much. I really liked your method of watering down the Golden Fluids to get a watercolour effect. Thank you so much for coming and teaching in Perth.
I have just found your website. I hope one day to be able to take a class from you. I love “Mixed Media Explorations”. Your work is soooooo beautiful !!
My dear Ms. Taylor…I bought your book yesterday! I am smitten with what I saw. So smitten, that I have already worked up a small piece, ala Beryl Taylor! I also adore hand sewing and machine quilting. I was an avid quilter, and migrated into ‘mixed media’ pieces on paper and canvas.
So, that said, I am a ready and happy artist for your techniques. One of my favorite things is to learn new ideas and make it my own.
I was one of those lucky people who manage to purchase your book at the craft fair in Perth Australia, before they ran out, unfortunately I didn’t get to do a class with you while you were here, so am in the process of trying techniques from your book, it is like my little bible at the moment and I want to thank you for the inspiration. I hope you enjoyed your trip down under and that your hubby had a great time catching up with his school buddy.
Hi Beryl,
I have been a fan of your work sence I first saw it in Somerset Studio.
You have such a wonderful style and it has made such an impression on me.
I have done a few pieces of work that were inspired by your work.
I sure hope you come to Central Ca sometime so I can meet you in person and hopefully take a class from you. I love your mixed media explorations book in fact I am working on a piece inspired by it now.
Sincerely,
Diana
Beryl,
I am so glad I found your blog and website!! I love your work and have your latest book. I also have been a fan of yours since seeing you in Somerset. I can see one of your works and say, “Oh, that’s definitely a Beryl Taylor!” I am in Florida and I sure hope to get to take one of your classes soon.
Thanks for the inspiration!
Shirley
Hello Beryl – I just had to stop in and say hello, you work is so beautiful:)
I found you on the Quilting Arts blog. Your name Beryl got my attention. AS my middle name is Beryl. Other than my Grandmother I have never known anyone with the name Beryl.

I really love your book, I have been so inspired to try new things – its also moved me into different color combinations (more subdued, but still beautiful). I found SpiralSun’s picture of her FabricPaper to be helpful, so I thought it would be helpful for others to see further examples – so here are links to 2 of mine ftp://members.socket.net/www/pics/Desert%20Golden%20PaperFabric%20cropped.jpg and ftp://members.socket.net/www/pics/Study%20in%20Pink%20FabricPaper.jpg (again hope you don’t mind). I also like the fact that in your book, you say most any type of acrylic paints will do the trick, you don’t need high priced fancy stuff.
Hello Beryl, I found your website and blog quite by chance, and can’t miss this opportunity to say how much I have enjoyed Mixed Media Explorations. It has been my inspiration and I admire your work tremendously. Hope you enjoyed your trip to Australia – I’m sure you have inspired hundreds more while you were there. The world will gradually fill with beautiful books and works of art! Thankyou so much, Heather Martin, Bristol, UK.
I recently saw your appearance on a CD of Quilting Arts TV. I fell in love with your techniques. I love to quilt and scrapbooking/cardmaking, and now there is a way to combine both. Your mixed media touches me, and inspires me. Thank you very much.

I really enjoyed Mixed Media Explorations and recently had a go at the fabric paper process. I’ve briefly outlined some of it on my blog today:

I hope you don’t mind.
